Great looks, functional, maintenance free, maximizing space, convenient, easy access, excellent warranty - these are all things you are looking for when you approach someone to help you with cabinetry for your new home or remodel.

This won't happen unless you work with a full service company. Yes, some places will put a design together based on standard sizes of cabinets they offer.  If those standard sizes don't fit, you end up with fillers that create wasted space. The cabinets you see on the displays are beautiful, but these are possibly not their standard offering. What's hiding behind door number 1?

At Diamond Lake Custom Woodworks, our cabinets are ALL made to exactly fit in your space, eliminating wasted space.  We design your kitchen to maximize your available space and NOT use any fillers creating wasted space.

Our cabinets are made from materials that will last a lifetime.  Our standard hardware is top of the line.  Cabinet doors feature soft close technology. Drawers feature hidden drawer glides that are super smooth to operate and are soft closing.  Soft closing features are a kitchens best friend.  Eliminating slamming doors and drawers extends the life of your cabinets.

From the design process for your kitchen, the software will interface directly with our computer controlled cutting machine to ensure your cabinets are cut super accurate and we minimize waste of material.  The computer controlled cutting equipment has taken our plywood waste from 25%-30% to less then 10%.  This is a huge money savings for you and is a much greener way of operating making our approach much more eco-friendly. Cabinets parts are cut to very tight tolerances ensuring your cabinets are done properly.

Our cabinets are made from American made maple plywood (not particle board) and it is prefinished on both sides for durability and long lasting life.

Drawer boxes are made using very strong mortise and tenon joinery (dovetailed drawer boxes are also available as an upgrade).  All wood in the project is solid wood - again, no particle board with plastic veneer wrap.

With soft close features you won't have to worry about waking someone up by slamming a door or drawer during your middle of the night munchy run!

Our finishes are specially formulated for kitchens and bathrooms offering super durable, maintenance free and beautiful.

ALL of this IS our STANDARD offering, not an upgrade.

Our Approach to Your Cabinet Project

Aging In Place

When you approaches us for a kitchen project, on of the first things we like to do is a get ballpark budget that the you are comfortable with.  We can determine right then if that budget will fit our standard cabinet offerings (explained above).  We then would like to get a list of your likes and dislikes in a kitchen.  We have been sent us pictures of things liked, and just as importantly, dislikes.  This is a very important step to ensure we are on the same page with you.

We use state of the art design software for design work.  With this software we are able to show you, in full 3D, what the design looks like from different viewpoints.  We can change colors, wood selections, hardware, etc. So you can experience different ideas.  Once you are satisfied with the design, we can use the software to output all of the information to our state of the art part cutting machines.  This seamless process ensures that what you saw on the computer screen in 3D is what you are going to get.

Another of our offers is what's called "Aging In Place".  This is the concept that as we get older (we can't control that), it might become more difficult to get on your hands and knees to crawl into a lower cabinet to find something.  Other things to think about with "Aging In Place" is, Heaven forbid, someone in your household needs disability access down the road.

It is very important that your space is designed with this possibility in mind.  It's very expensive to have to tear a kitchen out start over to accommodate  a disability.

With our "Aging In Place" knowledge, we can help you design a space that will be perfect for today and can accommodate future needs.  Something as simple as door and drawer pulls properly selected can make it much easier for a person with arthritis in their hands or fingers.
